Speaking of St. Paddy's Day Coming Up -- A Group of Kids That Will Make Your Day....

Hubby left this UTube video on his laptop with a note on the kitchen island for me when I got home from swimming at the YMCA this morning at 6:15.

We both work with middle & high school students...what fun!  I love the sound the cups make in that space.

Counting Laps in the Pool with Rubber Bands

I am terrible at keeping numbers in my head...

I swim six days a week ACROSS the deep end at our local YMCA...it's kind of a meditative time and I sure don't want to have to remember how many times I've come across...but now that's I'm getting in better shape, I'm feeling just a little competitive -- with myself.

I've started keeping five rubber bands on my right wrist...each time I swim across & back I move a band to my left wrist. (I can keep the sets of 5 in my head :)  So today I did 15 laps.

Hopefully I don't drop one and have to dive for the bottom searching for it.

Super Bowl Sunday

Grand daughter brought her Fischer Price remote and thrift store (Stepping Stones on Goodwin Street) cheerleader doll to the big game. We went across the street to neighbor's house. Those Seahawks were something!

Workshop at Sharlot Hall Museum

On the first Saturday of every month a group of ladies gather in the Education Building to work on sewing projects, usually with historic origins.

Today there was a bustle dress, a reticule and leather-bound book in the mix.

It's a delightful time beginning at 10:00 a.m. and coordinated by Pattie Conrad, an expert seamstress and museum volunteer for many years.
